C. Stephen Smith
Music and Worship Pastor
A native Nashvillian, Steve began serving Middle Tennessee churches as Music Minister in 1968 during his college days. A 1970 graduate of Belmont University with majors in both Music Education and Psychology, Steve also holds the Master of Music degree in vocal performance from Peabody College. In 1974 he was guest soloist with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra.
Having come to WFBC in October 2003, Steve began building the music and worship ministry with the aid of a choral team—comprised of both WFBC members and singers from nearby churches.
Steve and his wife Kathy live in Horseshoe Bend and have two daughters, Stephanie and Chelsea. For thirty years Steve's business practice has centered around serving clients in the financial services arena—in the areas of estate conservation and retirement plans.
Our worship is a blended style—with a balance between the traditional and the contemporary. It is vital that we not only reach out to those faithful ones who have served for years in God`s Kingdom—but that we also span the generations and include newer, fresher music that can touch the lives of younger families, who are the future of the church. You may contact me at the church office 615-599-6004, or at my business office 615-385-3867.
Emily Justice
Minister to Children
Emily has been on staff as our Children’s Minister since May, 2009. A Christian Leadership major at Belmont University, she is scheduled to graduate this spring!
Emily has a heart for missions as well as children. She has served as a summer intern at The People’s Church and gone on many mission trips to Mexico with WAY-FM. Most of those mission trips were located at the Rancho San Juan Bosco—a boy’s orphanage.
She has been able to put her Spanish minor to good use! Emily’s hobbies include singing and playing piano and guitar. A Page High School graduate, she is the daughter of WFBC members Andy and Pat Justice.
My desire is to see children come to understand who they are in Christ and the impact that they can have in the world. You can email me at emily@wfbchurch.org

The WFBC Student Ministry has five strategic goals:
1) Help the Youth: We want to serve their practical needs including areas of their lives such as school, relationships, and future plans.
2) Teach the Bible: We want to connect the youth to God through His Word and teach them how to study the Bible for themselves.
3) Train the Leaders: We are forming a youth leadership team that will make decisions about mission activities and annual goals.
4) Practice Spiritual Disciplines: We want to train the youth how to pray, fast, study Scripture, fellowship, witness, give, worship, journal, etc.
5) Go on Mission: We want to get the youth into their community and help the needy, learn about other cultures and religions, and serve.
