If you are serving communion and I am not a member, can I partake of it?

Communion, or the Lord's Supper, is open to all believers in Christ who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.  It is His table. He is the host, not us. It is by His invitation that we partake.

How do I dress?

Many of our congregation dress in business attire or business casual, but there is absolutely no dress code required or expected.

How do I find a Sunday School class for me and what time are they held?

We have Bible Study classes at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings. As soon as you enter the church, there are Welcome Centers where friendly greeters will assist you in finding all the appropriate classrooms.  We have the Pastor's Class during Sunday School which is designed for all guests and new members to attend initially.  In this class, you will find out more about the various Sunday School classes and discover which class meets your needs.  The Pastor's Class meets for four weeks and we start a new class the first Sunday of each month.

What about my children? Do they come to worship with me?

We encourage all children, ages 5 and up, to attend worship with their parents. We provide extended care for children, birth through age 4, in the preschool area during the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service.  During the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service the pastor invites all the children in the Sanctuary to come to the front, where he will have a Childrens Moment with them — illustrating what he will be preaching on that morning.

Is the church facility easy to find?

We are located at 700 New Highway 96 W. in Franklin, TN. The church is two miles west of Hillsboro Road (which becomes 5th Street in downtown Franklin); and is 1/2 mile east of Downs Blvd. The church is the only one with a church building on Hwy. 96 W. It is red brick, with white columns, and a copper steeple. Click here for directions.

Will I have to stand up or be singled out as a guest in worship?

No. Many of us are not comfortable in front of large groups, and we wouldn’t want to risk embarrassing you. You will not be singled out in any way.  During the service, we ask our guests to complete a guest card during our service, and to give you the option of completing a prayer request card if you desire to do so. Simply return the cards in the offering plate when it is passed during the worship service. The completion of a guest card is not required, but is encouraged so that we may have a record of your attendance and gather some basic information about you so that we may send you more information about WFBC. If you should request prayer or a pastoral visit, we are happy to accommodate your needs.
