Becoming a Church Member
Church Membership
The membership of West Franklin Baptist Church consists of persons who have made a profession of their faith in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, who have experienced New Testament baptism by immersion, who desire to be numbered among His disciples, and who are in sympathy with the faith and practices of this church.
A person joins West Franklin Baptist Church by coming forward in a worship service to:
Profess faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and affirm that profession in one of the following ways:
Baptism - being baptized by immersion
Letter of Transfer - transferring your church membership from another Southern Baptist church to WFBC
Statement of Faith - affirming that you are a Christian and that you were baptized by immersion in another church of like beliefs and practices
Orientation sessions are held monthly for new members and those interested in becoming members.
